About Gamal
I’m an Associate Professor with a PhD in Astrophysics, with extensive experience teaching mathematics and physics at school and university levels. I teach IB, IGCSE, A-level, AP, and other advanced mathematics courses, as well as university mathematics and physics for science and engineering students.

Hello, I’m Gamal.
“Why do I even need algebra?”
“Why should I learn calculus?”
“Where did this equation come from?”
“How do I apply it?”
“Does this even make sense?”
These are valid thoughts, and these are exactly the questions we work on.
Mathematics and physics shouldn’t be about memorizing formulas and applying them simply because you were told to. You should understand where an equation comes from, what it means, why it works, and when to use it.
It should make sense.
My approach is simple: understand first, then practise.
We build the foundations you need, connect new ideas to what you already know, and work through problems step by step. When something seems complicated, we break it down. When a formula appears out of nowhere, we look at where it comes from. When you know a method but don’t know when to use it, we practise recognizing the type of problem and choosing the right approach.
Whether you need help with algebra, calculus, mathematics, physics, or astrophysics, the goal is the same: to understand what you are doing rather than simply follow a procedure.
For exam preparation, we also work with past papers and unfamiliar questions to develop problem-solving and exam skills, including choosing the right method, explaining your reasoning clearly, and avoiding mistakes that cost marks.
The goal is to help you reach the point where you look at a difficult question and think:
“I know how to start this.”
And eventually:
“Wait… this actually makes sense!”
I won’t simply do your homework for you or give you the answers. Instead, we identify what you don’t understand, work through the underlying idea, and practise applying it yourself.

Amazing teacher, allows the student to speak what they understand and from their he puts them on the correct path of understanding the subject. His teaching style is very communicative and gives and takes with the student which allows the student to be more confident in answering questions of the subject. He will not move onto the next lesson without making sure you as the student are understanding what you are doing. This is very important in my opinion because this allows the next lesson to build on correctly from what I am learning.
