About Oshani
Hi, I’m Oshani. I studied mathematics and elementary education at the University of Calgary and previously taught a Grade 6 class in Sri Lanka. I remember how much it meant when a teacher took the time to explain something in a way I could understand. I want to offer students that same patience and encouragement, celebrate their small victories, and help them feel more confident in math at their own pace.

Hi, I’m Oshani. My lesson plans provide clear, step-by-step support tailored to each student’s grade level, learning pace, and goals. Lessons focus on building understanding, strengthening problem-solving skills, and helping students feel more confident in math.
Each session may include a review of previous concepts, an explanation of new material, guided practice, and independent questions to reinforce learning. I can also help students complete homework, catch up on missed topics, prepare for quizzes and exams, and improve their overall marks.
I tutor elementary and junior high math, as well as Math 10C, 10-3, 20-1, 20-2, 20-3, 30-1, 30-2, and 30-3.
Whether your student needs support with foundational skills, is struggling with a specific topic, or wants to aim for a higher mark, lessons are adapted to their needs. Parents and students are welcome to message me with the student’s grade or course, the topics they find difficult, and their learning goals. Let’s build confidence and make math more manageable!
