About Roberta
Embarking on my journey to master German, I combined rigorous formal study with immersive, real-world practice to develop a deep, nuanced command of the language. As a native German teacher with seven years of experience, I deliver structured, outcome-focused instruction tailored to each learner’s goals and pace. After a brief diagnostic and goal-setting discussion , I design a syllabus mapped to CEFR levels (A1–C2) with clear milestones.
Lessons follow a consistent, efficient flow: targeted review using retrieval practice; concise pronunciation work (sound–spelling patterns, stress, intonation); focused input with pattern-noticing; guided practice that progresses to free speaking or writing; and a practical wrap-up with concrete “can-do” tasks. Instruction blends immersive conversation with high-frequency vocabulary, clear grammar explanations, and authentic materials (articles, dialogues, emails, short videos and podcasts). Techniques include role-plays (travel, study, meetings), micro-drills, shadowing for listening and pronunciation, and spaced repetition to ensure durable learning.
Personalization is central. Pacing, examples, and assignments align with your context—whether you are building everyday communication from the ground up, consolidating intermediate structures (word order, subordinate clauses, adjective endings), or refining advanced accuracy, register, and idiomatic flow. For exam candidates, I provide targeted strategies, timed practice, and model responses; for professional needs, we focus on emails, meetings, presentations, and sector-specific terminology with reusable templates.
Progress is monitored every 4–6 weeks through concise assessments and CEFR-aligned checklists, so you always see what has improved and what to prioritize next. Lessons are available online , one-to-one or in small groups, with flexible scheduling. You also receive shared lesson notes, concise grammar summaries, custom vocabulary decks, and optional writing prompts with feedback between sessions.
