About Eloise
I am a full-time artist with over 15 years of both self-guided and academic training, along with experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria, I worked as an artist assistant before becoming an instructor for PaintNite, where I led painting sessions for large groups. After returning to Edmonton, I transitioned into working as a concept artist, designing family entertainment centers after teaching myself digital art and Photoshop during the pandemic. Now, I am fully focused on pursuing my artistic goals and helping others do the same. After many years of experimenting with a variety of mediums, I have always been the happiest with my charcoal and graphite pencils. More recently, I have dedicated myself to mastering new techniques, with a primary focus on creating surreal, hyper-realistic drawings and portraits. I offer personalized drawing lessons tailored to each student’s needs, interests, and skill level. Whether you're a beginner or advanced but still looking to refine your skills, we'll start by discussing your artistic goals, what you enjoy drawing, and areas you'd like to improve. We will then set some goals for yourself, where you will be guided in developing the specific skills that will aid you in achieving those goals.
Lessons will focus on helping you develop your style while building a strong foundation in the fundamentals. If you're unsure of your artistic preferences, that's okay! We'll explore different materials, techniques and subject matter to discover what inspires you most to develop your own unique style of drawing.
Lessons will range from simple to more complex projects depending on your skill level, with positive, constructive feedback to help you grow as an artist.
