About Isabela

I am passionate about exploring the creative side of coding, blending art and design with functionality to create engaging and effective solutions. As a Computer Systems Engineer and Interaction Designer, I bring a unique perspective to programming, helping students understand not only how to code but also how to design user-friendly and visually appealing applications. Teaching truly inspires me — I love helping students discover their potential and watching them grow in confidence as they learn to code. My lessons are designed to be engaging and tailored to each student's pace and learning style, whether they’re complete beginners or experienced programmers looking to improve. I strive to make coding approachable and fun.

About the lesson

I believe that learning to code should be fun and engaging! My teaching approach combines hands-on projects, real-world examples, and creative problem-solving to make programming concepts easy to understand and apply. I adapt my lessons to each student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident as they progress. I am a Computer Systems Engineer and an Interaction Designer with years of experience teaching programming and computational thinking at the university level (undergraduate students) and kids. I specialise in Python, Java, front web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). I also teach creative computing using platforms like Processing and p5.js, helping students explore the artistic side of coding while maintaining functionality and technical depth. My lessons are suitable for all levels — from kids and absolute beginners to advanced programmers looking to refine their skills or tackle more complex projects.

I have taken several programming classes with Isa. Her teaching style is very clear, simple, and very easy to apply in real scenarios. She is a person that knows completely the topic, but makes it look so easy.
