About Dr Vidhi
I am a geospatial specialist and educator with over a decade of international experience bridging academia and the corporate world. I completed my Master’s in Remote Sensing and GIS from the University of Twente (The Netherlands) in 2015, and hold a PhD in Atmospheric Science from Monash University (Australia). Over the past 10 years, I have built, coded, and solved diverse spatial problems across both research and industry sectors. I regularly share this experience with the next generation as an invited lecturer at esteemed Indian universities, including O.P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat.
I believe that learning should be supportive, highly engaging, and clear. My signature approach is a gentle teaching style that breaks down complex, technical concepts into simple, everyday terms. I focus on structured, interactive learning where your questions guide the conversation. This 4-Session RS&GIS course is built for absolute beginners who want to master the real-world basics of satellite data and mapping. You do not need any prior coding knowledge or previous experience in Remote Sensing and GIS to join this course.
To easily follow along, a comfortable grasp of Class 12 level physics and mathematics is required, alongside access to your own computer for practical exercises. My core philosophy is learner-first flexibility. Every session is highly interactive and packed with real-world examples that make complex topics simple. Because everyone learns differently, the pacing of each class will be adjusted entirely to your personal comfort level.
The 4-Session 2-hour each Curriculum:
Module 1: Remote Sensing & GIS Fundamentals - Discover how satellites view the Earth from space and explore how digital GIS workspaces organize geographical layers.
Module 2: Satellite Image Analysis - Learn how to read raw satellite imagery, recognise ground features, and interpret visual changes on the Earth's surface.
Module 3: GIS & Spatial Analytics - Understand how to work with digital shapes (Points, Lines, Polygons) and their analysis in GIS software.
Module 4: Applications in India's Development Sector - See how these technologies directly monitor national programs, tracking environmental health, infrastructure, and rural resources.
Teaching Methodology & Formats:
Tailored Learning Speeds: I adjust the lesson timing to match your speed, ensuring you never feel rushed or left behind. However, I advise atleast 2-hour each session for the modules for better understanding.
Interactive & Example-Driven: Complex theories are broken down using clear, relatable, everyday analogies and visual examples.
Practical Homework: A targeted skill task or minor homework assignment follows every session to lock in your core understanding.
Flexible Classroom Styles:
One-on-One Sessions: Conducted entirely online for dedicated individual focus.

I offer a free introductory consultation class. This initial session is designed as a relaxed, friendly check-in rather than a strict test. It helps me understand your current comfort level with basic Remote Sensing and GIS concepts, as well as your familiarity with Class 12-level physics and mathematics.
During this short session, I will assess your background and guide you on exactly which basic topics to review before our first official session. This ensures you start the course feeling confident, prepared, and ready to get the absolute most out of our time together.
** Please note that all the online sessions will be conducted via Zoom/Microsoft Teams/Google meet. You will have to share your working email ID on which I will share the meeting links. Sessions will not be conducted on WhatsApp. Sessions will not be recorded. Keeping the video on for lessons is required. Thank you !**
