About Evie

I am currently working during my gap year before I go travelling to South America! I really really enjoy tutoring because I have a genuine love for science and maths. I find it really satisfying to work through concepts together and improve exam technique. I sat my A-levels in June 2026, and achieved A*A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English Literature. I therefore have insight into the best techniques to achieve top grades, and also an understanding of what topics are challenging. I am going to study Natural Sciences at university next year. Evie tutored my daughter in Maths and Science GCSE every week for a year, always arriving well prepared with engaging and varied teaching methods and setting thoughtful homework. Her encouragement and expertise helped my daughter achieve 8s and 9s in both subjects - results I genuinely don't think she would have achieved without Evie's tuition.

I started tutoring with Evie after year 10 mocks where I got a 5 in chemistry, and after once a week tutoring I managed to get an 8 in chemistry GCSE!

About the lesson

I have 2 years' experience tutoring, and typically do 1-2 hour sessions. I tutor A-Level Maths (Edexcel), Biology and Chemistry (OCR A) and GCSE Maths, Biology, and Chemistry for any exam board. First, we work through any immediate questions on recent topics covered in school, and then we will work through practice questions, or go over content. My sessions will be tailored to individual needs and preferences for the sessions, and I am super focused on exam technique, ensuring that we work through the best methods to gain maximum marks in exams.
