About Freddy
Hi there, my name is Freddy and I am a 19-year-old gap year student who enjoyed the challenge of his A-levels and enjoys helping others do the same. In the summer of 2025, I achieved A*s in A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics and an A in A-level Chemistry. Outside of tutoring, I am a musician, with Grade 8s in Piano and Trumpet, and I am using my gap year to prepare for an ARSM performance Diploma in the Piano. I am also a keen Cricketer, in which I spend as much time as I can playing and coaching for my local club.

I have a student-centred approach to tutoring which adapts to each learner's needs. This involves assessing each student's specific strengths and weaknesses before approaching the subject in a way that works best for them. By breaking down challenging topics into simple, manageable chunks, I help students become more confident in their understanding, allowing me to challenge them with tricky practice questions. I have had several years' experience doing this, first helping in subject clinics at my school, before I was asked to take on several struggling students on a one-on-one basis in year 13. Along with this, I achieved A*s in A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics and an A in A-level Chemistry, showing I have a full understanding of the topics I teach. I am flexible on lesson timings, however I generally aim for one-hour lessons to ensure a strong level of understanding. My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-level students, however I am also happy to take younger students on request.
