About Harry
I have been teaching English and History since 2015 and have now seen 30 students through their GCSEs, IBs and IGCSEs. This year’s successes include a student who went from a level 3 to achieving level 6s in GCSE English Language and Literature.
I only take on a few students each year as my main occupation is as a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines. I’ve been published in The Guardian, The Independent, All About History, History Today and Take A Break magazine.

I like to put a lot of emphasis on improving students’ writing abilities and explaining how to construct an argument which I think is the key to passing the new GCSEs. I also believe that having confidence is important so I am keen to show my students that they are more than capable of achieving their goals if they believe in themselves.
I have a laid back and friendly but persistent approach that works well.
