About Georgia
I aim to create a friendly, patient and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that building confidence is just as important as improving academic ability, and I tailor my sessions to suit each student’s learning style and goals. I am reliable, approachable and committed to helping students make meaningful progress. My previous tutoring experience includes supporting a student who achieved a grade 2 in his GCSE English mocks and went on to pass his GCSE English with my support.

My approach to tutoring is personalised, supportive and focused on building both knowledge and confidence. I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual needs, using clear explanations, discussion, practice questions and exam technique to help them understand difficult topics and apply their knowledge effectively. Lessons are typically one hour, although I am happy to adjust the length depending on the student’s needs and availability. I am a Philosophy and Sociology graduate from the University of Manchester and achieved grades 7–9 across all my GCSEs, including grade 9s in English Language and Religious Studies. I have experience working with children and young adults as a Student Ambassador, peer mentor and through my work at a sports centre. I offer tutoring in English up to GCSE level, GCSE Religious Studies, and A-Level Philosophy and Sociology.
