My name is Amirah Fazal and I wish to teach because I know how important education is for young people, and as a recent graduate of my GCSEs I know how crucial it is to work hard, I know how much support is needed to do so and how relieving it can be to see all your hard work show off in your results.

I found a way to go from not understanding any of the films and plays or novels I had to study, to being an A* student in my recent GCSE results. I was able to organise study groups with peers to help them achieve high grades as well. My study techniques have proven to work well, showing in how far I have personally progressed. I know how to help a child memorise poems for the English GCSE, as well as help them to develop critical skills for analysis.
