About Sebastian Alan
I’m Sebastian, an IB Diploma Programme graduate with a score of 44 points and a recipient of the MOE School-Based Scholarship for ASEAN students. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts and gain confidence in their academic abilities.
During my time in school, I regularly helped peers and junior students with mathematics and was selected as an Economics Peer Coach, where I supported classmates in strengthening their understanding of key ideas. I also served as a Non-Academic Director in Project Reperio, a student-led initiative that provides online enrichment lessons to Rohingya refugees.
I enjoy teaching because it is rewarding to see students progress, gain confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

My lessons are designed to help students develop a strong conceptual understanding of mathematics while building the skills needed to solve exam-style questions confidently. I focus on explaining the reasoning behind formulas and methods so that students understand why a solution works, not just how to memorize it.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are structured around three stages: reviewing key concepts, working through guided examples step by step, and practicing exam-style questions. I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and learning style to ensure they stay engaged and confident.
I tutor IGCSE, O levels, and IB Diploma Programme mathematics students, drawing from my experience as an IB graduate with 44 points and from teaching peers and junior students. My goal is to make challenging topics clearer and help students improve both their understanding and exam performance.
