About Caitlyn
My name is Caitlyn. I am an IB graduate currently studying a Bachelor of Media (Public Relations and Advertising) and Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) at University of New South Wales, a highly QS-ranked university. I am committed to supporting non-profit organizations through tutoring, charity work, and volunteering, and I have held marketing roles across multiple non-profit organizations. Outside academics, I enjoy sports and martial arts, reading, writing my own book, and photography. I speak English, Indonesian, intermediate Chinese, and beginner Korean.

My name is Caitlyn, and my approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and adaptable to each learner’s needs and ability level. I focus on building strong foundations in English while also developing confidence, clarity, and critical thinking skills.
Having completed IB English Language & Literature Higher Level, I bring professional-level skills in essay writing, academic formal writing, and literary analysis. I specialise in guiding students through structured arguments, textual analysis, and clear academic expression. I have also written research paper (IB Approved), giving me strong experience in research-based and thesis-style writing.
In addition, I am highly proficient in resume writing, business writing, research papers, theses, and formal academic documents, and I support students in developing writing that meets professional, academic, and assessment standards. My teaching methodology includes guided reading, step-by-step planning, scaffolded writing exercises, and detailed, constructive feedback. For primary and beginner students, I focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and core writing skills. For more advanced learners, I teach mastery skills such as thesis formulation, literary and critical analysis, and refined academic writing techniques.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, though I am flexible depending on the student’s age, focus, and learning goals. My lessons are suitable for primary school students, secondary students, and learners seeking support in academic English, essay writing, professional writing, or exam preparation. I am flexible across all English levels and tailor each lesson to the student’s individual objectives.
I am a native Indonesian speaker and am willing to teach Indonesian language lessons at various proficiency levels. I am also able to teach and support IB subjects, including Business Management HL, Mathematics: AI SL, Visual Arts HL, and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) SL, with lessons tailored to assessment criteria and individual student needs.
