About Majid

Hello! I'm Majid, a passionate software engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and over 14 years of experience in the software industry. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in various roles, from Senior Software Engineer to Engineering Manager, which has provided me with valuable insights into different technologies and industries.

In addition to my industry experience, I’ve spent more than 3 years teaching, and I absolutely love it! Teaching keeps me inspired and motivated. I enjoy working with students who ask challenging questions and push me to think deeper—this is what truly makes the experience rewarding. One of the most fulfilling moments for me is when students come back to thank me for helping them land their new job or role. I am excited to continue sharing my knowledge and helping students grow in their journey toward becoming skilled software engineers.

My Approach as a Tutor

As a tutor, I focus on helping students understand the *why* behind every concept, encouraging them to think critically and explore the reasoning behind different solutions. I emphasize discussing the pros and cons of each approach, fostering a solution-oriented mindset. My goal is to teach students *how to think* and approach problems logically, not just memorize facts.

Teaching Methods

I combine theory with practical, real-world projects, allowing students to choose projects based on their interests. This approach makes learning more engaging and applicable. I leverage my experience in various industries and domains to provide real-world insights, showing students how what they learn translates into actual business solutions.

I cover a wide range of topics, including:

- PHP & Laravel
- Java & Spring Boot
- Database Management, SQL, Postgres
- JavaScript, TypeScript, & Express
- Docker
- Algorithms, Design Patterns, and Data Structures (Java)

What Sets Me Apart

What sets me apart is my ability to explain complex topics in simple, understandable terms while fostering critical thinking. My extensive industry experience allows me to offer diverse perspectives on how these technologies are used in real-world scenarios. My students at SD Academy consistently provide positive feedback, appreciating my hands-on approach and personalized attention.

Who the Lessons Are For
