About Justin
Hi, I’m Justin! I’m a University of Pennsylvania graduate with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Data Science & Analytics. I’ve always enjoyed helping students turn subjects that initially feel confusing or overwhelming into something much more manageable.
I tutor SAT/PSAT preparation, math, calculus, statistics, economics, English, and history. I scored a 1570 on the SAT (790 Math and 780 Reading & Writing), earned an 800 on the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test, and received scores of 5 on seven AP exams, including Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, English Language, U.S. History, World History, and European History.
As a tutor, I focus on understanding how each student thinks rather than simply giving them answers. I break difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps, identify the specific areas causing trouble, and adjust my explanations until the material makes sense. I also try to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and working through problems without feeling judged.
Whether a student is trying to raise a test score, catch up in a difficult class, or build stronger academic confidence, my goal is to give them both the skills and the understanding they need to improve independently.

Hi! I’m Justin, a University of Pennsylvania graduate with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Data Science & Analytics. I enjoy helping students make challenging material more manageable while building their knowledge and confidence.
I have one-on-one tutoring experience with elementary, middle, and high school students in the United States and Ireland. I tutor math from elementary topics through calculus, as well as SAT Math and Reading, homework, exam preparation, and foundational skills. I tailor each lesson to the student’s coursework and areas of difficulty.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and focused on understanding rather than memorization. I break problems into clear steps, explain the reasoning behind each method, and use guided practice to help students become more independent.
