About Jonish
I'm currently pursuing a Master of Science in Robotics and Intelligent Systems at NTU, building on a mechanical engineering foundation.
I want to teach because it's genuinely rewarding on multiple levels. Explaining concepts and helping students understand them pushes me to see problems from different angles and constantly sharpens my own communication skills, since finding the right way to make an idea click for someone else is a skill in itself. Teaching also complements my studies, giving me a meaningful way to support myself while doing something I actually enjoy and grow from.

My approach to tutoring is to make students think and learn, rather than simply chase results. I encourage active participation and open discussion in every session, helping students reason through problems themselves instead of memorising steps. This builds genuine understanding and confidence that lasts beyond the next test.
I'm an NTU engineering postgraduate specialising in Secondary and JC Mathematics (E-Math, A-Math, H1/H2 Math), with hands-on experience connecting abstract concepts to real-world applications. My lessons typically run 1.5 to 2 hours, giving enough time to work through concepts properly and answer questions without rushing.
My lessons are suited for Secondary and JC students, from those needing to strengthen foundational E-Math skills to those tackling H2 Calculus and Vectors. Whether a student is catching up or aiming for top grades, I adapt the pace and depth to their needs.
