About Marion
I am a sculptor, writer, and researcher currently working out of my studio in Kansas City, Missouri. With a Bachelor's of Fine Arts, I deeply understand the academic world of art and am here to demystify the long history of art education as out of reach.
I am honest, patient, and adaptive when teaching, as I am a continuous learner myself and have found this most successful for many years.

I have a multi-faceted background in both art making and art theory/research to not only help you understand how to make art, but why we make art.
My areas of expertise include:
Drawing- with a background in observational realism and a practicing conceptual artist, I can help with all ranges of exact to abstract.
Sculpture- in all its forms, with most of my experience in wood, metal, ceramic, and paper.
Printmaking- with a specialty in lithography.
Art History- my research background covers prehistoric to now, with the bulk of my knowledge in contemporary art history.
Writing- knowledgeable in writing for art grants and applications, research papers, and creative writing/poetry. Speaking or presenting writing is also something I love to teach.
Design- well versed with the Adobe Suite and Rhino 6-8, I can help with both two and three dimensional design projects.
As a practicing artist, award-winning researcher, and life-long teacher, I am committed to your future in art.
