About Anna
I’ve tutored my peers throughout my educational career, and worked with a wide range of students, including ESL students. I strongly believe that good writing is learnable, and I have several strategies I use when teaching or explaining a persuasive concept, including doing brief exercises and talking through the thought process of what works and what doesn’t.

I am a law school graduate with a master's degree in international political economy and a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University with a deep understanding of a wide range of humanities subjects, including philosophy, history, English, law, political science, and government. I got 5s in AP Psychology, English Literature, U.S. History, Modern European History, and a perfect score (at the time 800) on the reading and writing score of the SATs. I credit my success with understanding how graders evaluate essays. If you are looking for a tutor to help you excel at the writing portion of a standardized test, look no further! I am also skilled in teaching students in middle school, high school, and college how to write and draft essays in any style (persuasive, critical, creative) and enjoy working with ESL students to make their work shine. I can also edit and provide feedback on college and high school papers.
