About Maryah
Hello all. I’m Mary’ah. I’m 24 years young and love to help others. I feel like that is ultimately my purpose. I’ve always had an affinity for math and reading, even as a young child and still do now. I graduated from UMBC with a degree in Biology, and there was nothing but tests on math and reading comprehension, so I feel the struggle. I am respectful of all walks of life. I am understanding and adaptable to most things as long as there’s an open line of communication because I understand that life happens. People always tell me that I am a sweet person and a bright soul to be around. But that’s for you to find out yourself!

After finding the subject I’m teaching, I would ask the student a few questions about how they like to learn, their interests, and find ways to gamify the teaching session because what student doesn’t love games? I can include graphics for visual learners, and explain concepts in multiple ways for audio learners etc. I’m very adaptable and can appeal to multiple styles of teaching. I would make a practice worksheet full of problems that demonstrate concepts on classroom worksheets and homework assignments. I have taught people from kindergarten all the way up to a sophomore in high school.
