About Thalia
I want to work together with my students to provide a constructive learning environment, allowing them to get stuck into their work. I aim to be friendly and helpful, pushing them towards achieving their goals. At the same time, I will encourage them to explore set texts and English analysis beyond rote learning, as this sharpens critical thinking skills and also will achieve far better marks than simple cramming and quote revision.

I take an interactive approach to learning, getting students interested in the ‘nitty-gritty’ parts of texts as well as wider cultural contexts, achieving impressive results. As a recently graduated student, I can empathise with and help develop a tutee’s potential. Thanks to my experience with both Sixth Form (Westminster) and University (Oxford) entrance processes, I can also aid ambitious pupils wanting to enter similar institutions.
