- My Teaching Methods and Techniques:
My teaching philosophy centers on immersion and effective communication. I believe the best way to learn a language is by actively using it. Therefore, my classes are dynamic, interactive, and focused on oral and written practice. I use a variety of techniques, including:
Communicative approach: I prioritize real and meaningful communication, using everyday life situations and authentic materials.
Task-based learning: My students work on projects and activities that allow them to apply their knowledge practically.
Use of technology: I incorporate digital tools and online resources to make classes more engaging and accessible.
Personalized attention: I adapt my classes to each student's needs and learning styles, providing constant feedback and individualized support.
Cultural immersion: I integrate cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world to enrich the learning experience and foster intercultural understanding.
A typical lesson plan might include:
Warm-up: A brief activity to review vocabulary or previous grammar and activate prior knowledge.
Presentation of the new topic: Introduction of new vocabulary, grammar, or expressions, using clear and concise examples.
Guided practice: Interactive activities to practice the new material, with my support and feedback.
Communicative practice: Pair or group activities to apply the new material in real communicative situations.
Cultural activities: Presentation of relevant cultural aspects, such as music, film, or literature.
Closure: Review of the key points of the lesson and assignment of homework for practice at home.
