Jambo! I am Juma, a native Swahili speaker from Nakuru, Kenya. I grew up speaking Swahili and English every day. I am friendly, patient and passionate about helping foreigners connect with Kenyan people and culture. I love teaching and making learning fun and easy. I have helped expats, volunteers and travelers speak Swahili for work, travel and daily life. My goal is to make you confident to speak Swahili anywhere in Kenya. Let us learn together.

About the lesson

I teach Swahili through fun, practical conversation focused on real life in Kenya. My lessons are simple, interactive and personalized for your goals — whether you are an expat, traveler, or beginner. We practice greetings, daily conversation, ordering food, using transport, shopping, and work Swahili. You will speak from day one with confidence. I correct you gently and give you short homework and audio to practice. Online on Zoom or WhatsApp, or in-person in Nakuru.karibu!
