About Maritza
I am a Graduate Student of Occupational Therapy. In my time of being in both undergraduate and graduate school, I have spent over 5 years being a private tutor for families in and surrounding my home area. My subject strengths include English (elementary-high school level), Math (Elementary level), History/Social Studies, Psychology (High School-College), Anatomy and Physiology, Spanish (Elementary-Middle School level), and Sociology.

Three of my common approaches include questioning, alternating (letting the student do the tutoring), visual learning, and application. I use these conversational approaches as a method for the student to have a verbal and visual understanding of the topic that is being taught to them. Additionally I believe verbal and visual teachings help students to better retain information about the lesson(s).
