About Daria

I am a newly graduated IB student who scored a 43 in her diploma and am studying Biochemistry at KCL. My areas of expertise are Biology and Chemistry but having taken HL Economics at IB and Spanish B SL as well, I feel prepared and confident tutoring these subjects as well, having scored a 7 on both of them. I also completed AQA GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, Statistics and Geography (and scored an 8/9 in all of them) allowing me to tutor GCSE level as well. In my tutoring I can provide resources that were made available to me, which helped me in my own studies as well as advice and clear explanations adapted to each student's needs and way of learning. I have a flexible schedule, and can work online as well as within London. I can also speak Italian and Russian, which can help in aiding international students in their studies. Overall, I have always loved helping people understand concepts that were previously challenging and am confident I can help whoever needs it to improve their grades!

About the lesson

I will be giving syllabus-specific help in Spanish, by providing help with understanding conceptually hard areas of the syllabus, providing practice with speaking, listening, reading and writing. Typical lessons would involve the student expressing their areas of hardship, then some time spent understanding the grammatical and stylistic features needed to learn and then consolidating the knowledge with practice. This can last from 1-2 hours depending on the student's needs. I have always loved helping people understand, I tutored in Spanish at my school, and helped my siblings and friends as well. My mother-tongue, Italian, helps a lot with the learning and teaching of Spanish.
