My Approach to Tutoring and How I Teach My Classes
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
My teaching style is practical, structured, and highly personalized. I start by understanding each student’s specific goals—whether that’s preparing for an interview, polishing their CV, or improving academic writing.
For interview preparation, I combine targeted question practice, mock interviews, and feedback on delivery and content.
For CV and cover letter support, I walk students through effective formatting, impactful phrasing, and tailoring applications to specific roles.
For academic writing, I help students develop clear argumentation, structure essays or papers effectively, and improve language precision.
Across all areas, I use a combination of:
Step-by-step guidance to build confidence
Practical examples and templates
Constructive feedback so students can see exactly where to improve
Typical Length of a Lesson
Most sessions are 60 minutes, allowing enough time to cover material in depth and answer questions. For focused work on specific issues (e.g., reviewing a single document), I also offer 30–45 minute sessions.
