About Maya

Hi, my name is Maya! I graduated from CalArts with a degree in Experimental Animation, where I developed skills in animation, illustration, graphic design, sculpture, and working with a variety of materials and techniques. I’m a professional stop-motion animator with experience in different forms of animation, including hand-drawn, stop-motion, and CG. I’ve also been teaching art for six years, and I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge, encouraging creative exploration, and making art accessible to everyone. I believe creativity is a beautiful process of discovery, and I love helping others find their own artistic voice.

About the lesson

Here, I’ll teach you not only the science behind art but also how to discover your own artistic voice and develop a style that is uniquely yours. You’ll learn in a way that nurtures your passion, frees you from self-criticism, and encourages creative exploration. By the end of this class, you’ll feel more confident in your abilities and have the knowledge and skills to grow as an artist.
