About Annabel
Hello!
My name is Annabel Z, I'm a recent graduate from the University of Maine. There I obtained my B.S. in Marine Sciences and learned essential skills I use everyday in my research escapades in Miami, FL. A typical week for me starts in the waves and ends at the lab where I process samples and analyze data. I'm constantly learning about new organisms and skills from my peers everytime i get in the water! I love to read and often find myself enjoying a good book as we travel to field sites or wait for samples to finish processing. I can't wait to hear what intrests you in science and what your favorite marine creature is. Mine is the mudskipper!

A typical lesson plan starts with a review of previous material to reinforce concepts before progressing to new topics. I emphasize active participation and encourage questions to promote critical thinking and deeper understanding. I like to assist with homework questions and help reinforce topics based on syllabus weeks for classes.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt to individual learning paces and preferences while maintaining a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. I often like to play background music to help students who are active learners stay engaged. My lessons cater to a diverse range of students covering subjects such as mathematics, science, and language arts. Whether preparing for exams, tackling challenging concepts, or enhancing overall academic performance, my goal is to empower students with the skills and confidence to succeed in the classroom!
