Everything complex can be broken down into circles, squares, and triangles. Focus on line confidence, not perfection. 2. Use References (Always) Don’t try to draw from memory too early. Use photos, real-life objects, or even yourself in a mirror. 3. Warm-Up Matters Quick gesture sketches (1–2 minutes) help loosen your hand and sharpen your eye. 4. Don’t Obsess Over Tools A basic pencil and sketchbook are enough to make great art. When you want to explore, try charcoal, ink, or digital tools—but only once you’re comfy. 5. Embrace Mistakes They’re not failures; they’re lessons. Keep your bad drawings—they’re part of your progress story. 6. Learn to See, Not Just Draw Train your eyes by practicing blind contour drawing (drawing without looking at your paper). Observe light, shadow, and proportions deeply. 7.
