About Elliot
I’m a musician and working guitarist based in Greater Manchester, currently playing with The Rolling People. I graduated from BIMM University with a degree in Music Business & Production and have experience working in both live and studio environments. I’m passionate about helping people become confident, capable musicians and enjoy playing guitar, while developing the practical skills and understanding they need to progress. I take a friendly, professional and patient approach, with a relaxed atmosphere where students can learn at their own pace, ask questions and have a chat along the way.

I offer one-to-one guitar tuition for beginner and developing players, with a modern and practical approach tailored to each student. Lessons can cover chords, riffs, rhythm and lead guitar, songs, technique, scales and basic theory. I also encourage students to learn through playing music they enjoy, while building a strong understanding of the instrument. Lessons are typically one hour and are suitable for beginners and developing players of different ages. I’m a BIMM University graduate and working guitarist with live and studio experience.

I’ve had the pleasure of being the guitar tech for Elliot and The Rolling People for over 3 years. Both onstage and off stage he continues to impress me with how well he plays and his natural ear for melody and musical composition. Technically, he is one of the best guitar players I have ever heard or seen, including the famous bands I have followed all my life. After hundreds of TRP shows with him, he still surprises me with what he both composes and improvises ‘in the moment’ - each show with him brings something new. If I’d had Elliot as a guitar teacher when I was learning, I would have been a lot better at playing than I am. Mat W
I definitely recommend Elliot as a guitar teacher because he is a very kind and adaptable person who wouldn't judge people on their skills.
Also being in an active band is super useful because he understands what skills are relevant are important for live performance.View more recommendations
