About Alfie

I specialise in teaching how to actually play songs quickly, rather than focusing on formal sheet music. This makes lessons ideal for students who want to start playing music they enjoy straight away. If you let me know some of your favourite songs I can teach you them as part of the lessons.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m a guitar tutor based in Eltham (SE9) offering relaxed, practical guitar lessons for beginners and intermediate players across South East London.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 12 years and have a strong understanding of music theory and real-world playing across rock, indie, blues, pop, country and jazz styles.

What I teach:

* Beginner chords and strumming patterns
* Learning full songs quickly
* Rhythm guitar and timing
* Barre chords and transitions
* Lead guitar basics and improvisation
* Blues and rock foundations
* Music theory applied practically (not overly academic)

My teaching style:

* Patient, friendly and structured
* Step-by-step progress in every lesson
* Focus on real songs and enjoyment
* No need to read sheet music
* Lessons tailored to each student’s goals
