About Amanda

Hi everyone, my name is Amanda and I'm excited to be your tutor! My academic background is strong in the areas you'd likely be looking for in a tutor. I went to UCT for a double major in Finance and Information Systems, which gave me a solid foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. Additionally, I was recognized for my mathematical abilities throughout my schooling, having received the prestigious SAICA Top 1 Award in Math and consistently ranking among the top students in high school. These experiences not only honed my understanding of these subjects but also instilled in me a passion for helping others learn. I believe my academic achievements coupled with my natural ability in Math, Physics, and Life Sciences would make me a valuable asset as your tutor. I'm confident in my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely, catering to different learning styles. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their problem-solving skills.

I’ve had her as my tutor, she is really good at what she does. She breaks down the concepts in a way that you will understand it better and she also makes learning fun. I highly recommend her, she’s made me grasp difficult concepts and I have my marks to prove it.
