My approach to tutoring is student-centered, focusing on individual needs and learning styles. I believe that effective learning occurs when students are actively engaged in the process.
Techniques and teaching methodology:
- Direct Instruction: Clear explanations of grammar rules and vocabulary.
- Discussion-Based Learning: Encouraging students to share their thoughts and ideas.
- Role-Play: Simulating real-life conversations to practice language skills.
A typical lesson lasts for 60 minutes. However, I am flexible and can adjust the length of the lesson based on the student's needs and learning pace.
While I may not have formal teaching qualifications, I have a strong command of the English language and have tutored friends and family members in the past. I am known to have the right temperament and patience for this field. I am particularly passionate about helping others improve their language skills.
Who the lessons are for (level, age, etc.):
I am open to tutoring students of all ages and levels, from elementary school to adult learners. I can help with:
- Schoolwork: Assisting with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
- Language Acquisition: Teaching grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
- Conversation Skills: Practicing speaking and listening skills.
- Exam preparation: Preparing for standardized tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge English.
By tailoring my approach to each student's individual needs, I strive to create a positive and effective learning experience.
