About Mumsy

Hello! I'm Mumsy, a dedicated and passionate teacher with a BEd from the University of theWitwatersrand (Wits). My teaching philosophy is simple: every student deserves a supportive and stimulating environment to thrive. I'm committed to making learning fun, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me trying out new recipes in the kitchen or experimenting with new baking techniques - a hobby that teaches me patience, creativity, and attention to detail, all valuable assets in my teaching toolkit! I'm excited to work with you and help you achieve your academic goals. Let's learn and grow together!

When it comes to learning, every child is unique, and that's what makes my job so rewarding! I believe in tailoring my teaching to meet each student's individual needs, so I create personalized lessons that tackle weak points and foster confidence, understanding, and steady improvement. My approach is structured yet flexible, using customized resources and targeted tasks to help learners overcome challenges. I'm committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that welcomes students of all backgrounds and abilities, and I love incorporating technology to make learning more engaging, accessible, and fun! By working together, I'm confident that your child will develop a growth mindset, improve their understanding and retention of key concepts, and grow into a curious, compassionate, and open-minded individual who's equipped to thrive in all areas of life.
