About Konstance
Hello! My name is Konstance, and I'm passionate about helping future EMTs succeed. I know firsthand that EMT school can be challenging, with a lot of information to learn in a short amount of time. My goal is to make that process less overwhelming by breaking down difficult topics into simple, understandable concepts.
I am a Nationally Registered and Oregon-certified EMT, an Army National Guard Combat Medic, and the Lead Instructor for a high school Fire & EMS program. In addition to teaching future first responders, I have experience instructing CPR, First Aid, and Basic Life Support (BLS) courses. My background in emergency medicine allows me to connect classroom material with real-world patient care, helping students understand not only what to do, but why it matters.
As a tutor, I believe there are no "bad" questions. Everyone learns differently, and I tailor each session to fit the student's needs, whether they're struggling with anatomy, patient assessment, medical or trauma emergencies, or preparing for the NREMT. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students can ask questions, build confidence, and develop the knowledge they need to succeed in class and in the field.

My lessons are for anyone taking an EMT-Basic course, preparing for the NREMT, or looking for extra help understanding emergency medicine concepts.
I believe the best way to learn is by understanding concepts, not just memorizing facts. My goal is to help students build confidence by explaining the "why" behind EMT skills and treatments. I encourage questions and use real-life examples to make topics easier to understand.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student wants to work on. We review difficult topics together, practice NREMT-style questions or patient scenarios, and finish by reviewing the key points and answering any remaining questions.
What sets me apart is my combination of real-world experience and teaching experience. I am a Nationally Registered EMT, an Army National Guard Combat Medic, and the Lead Instructor for a high school Fire & EMS program. I enjoy helping students succeed and creating a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable learning.
