Hello!
My name is Clara. I'm a primary school teacher and Oxford Modern Languages graduate.
I have been teaching for three years and currently teach in an 'Outstanding' primary school in London. I love working with pupils of all ages and supporting them with progressing. I am familiar with the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum as well as preparation for SATs examinations.
I am particularly passionate about Literacy and Maths tuition for primary pupils. My school is a Maths Hub where we teach pupils based on Singaporean maths teaching methods. This approach focuses on ensuring pupils gain a secure conceptual understanding of what they are doing rather than just following a procedure that they might forget. Lessons will be practical, fun and focussed on ensuring accelerated progression.
I completed a Modern Languages French degree at Oxford University and spent a year living and working in Paris. I am fluent in French and very familiar with a wide range of French literature. I can therefore support you in developing your linguistic skills at any level. If you have exams approaching tuition will be focussed on ensuring your acquire the exact skills needed to excel in your exams.
My experience as a teacher means that I have a range of teaching strategies that can be used to support you, or your child, with making progress. Lessons will be tailored to exact needs.
I am available in the evenings between 5 - 9pm (UK time). I am also available at weekends.
