About James
Oxford Graduate. Teacher of ten years' experience. Published Writer /Critic. With Good Legal /Commercial/Media /Literary awareness. I have a strong record of delivering results, to order and sometimes against great odds and time pressures. I have taken students of an EFL background to A star level at English Language and Literature GCSE and guided many A Level students to A Grades, via strong examination emphases and attention to their goals for University /Careers. Strong cross curricular content is key and I bring subjects to life with reference to media, politics and other disciplines, whilst remaining focused on the task at hand.

I focus on what is YOUR 'way in' to a subject. What interests /fascinates/motivates you. I then use that to bring a subject to new life for you, taking special care to plan exam techniques and essay drafting to the precise specifications of whichever test(s) you are facing. Lots of talking and drafting together and the crafting of model answers whilst retaining sufficient flexibility to face all types of question.
