About Sai
I’m passionate about helping students feel confident, capable, and genuinely interested in English. With Grade 9s in both English GCSEs and an A in A-Level English Literature (AQA), I know what examiners look for and how to guide students there step by step. I studied at a high-achieving girls’ grammar school, was chosen as the English Subject Champion, and received a partial scholarship for the Immerse Education Summer School at Oxford University for excellence in essay writing. Over the past two years, I’ve tutored KS3 and GCSE students who have consistently improved by two to three number grades through structured essay practice, clear feedback, and tailored strategies. My lessons are encouraging, focused, and easy to follow, breaking complex ideas into simple, memorable steps. I create a supportive, judgement-free space where students can ask questions and grow in confidence — because when you enjoy learning, top grades follow naturally.

My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on building confidence in both English Language and Literature through clear explanations, model answers, and guided practice. I’ve achieved Grade 9s in both English GCSEs and an A in A-Level English Literature (AQA). My lessons are ideal for KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and 11+ students who want to: • Strengthen essay-writing skills • Improve analysis and interpretation • Boost confidence and clarity in written work • Prepare effectively for exams I typically begin by identifying each student’s strengths and target areas, then create personalised lesson plans that balance exam technique, essay structure, and analytical skills with creative expression. I use a mix of discussion-based learning and writing exercises to help students engage deeply with texts and themes. A standard lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I also offer shorter focused sessions (30–45 minutes) for specific topics like poetry analysis or creative writing feedback. My goal is always to make English feel accessible, enjoyable, and empowering — helping each student reach their potential with genuine understanding, not memorisation.
