About Owen
In addition to my academic background, I am also a qualified fitness coach and have a strong interest in sport, which has shaped my teaching style to emphasize discipline, consistency, and goal-setting. This allows me to motivate students, build effective study habits, and support them both academically and personally. I tutor high school students of all levels, with the aim of helping them achieve strong results while developing confidence and long-term understanding in biology.

Hi, I’m Owen, a third-year medical student from Canada with prior experience teaching Grade 12 biology and a strong academic background as a top high school graduate. My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and exam-focused. I break down complex biological concepts into simple, logical steps, using diagrams, practice questions, and real-world examples to reinforce understanding. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and are tailored to each student’s level, learning style, and curriculum requirements. I work with high school students across all year levels, focusing on content mastery, exam technique, and building confidence in biology. My goal is to help students not only improve grades, but truly understand the subject and feel confident applying their knowledge in assessments.
