About Megan
I started teaching in 2006 in Los Angeles, CA, where I taught high school for 3 years (LAUSD). I taught 9, 10, and 12th grade Language Arts and 9th grade Humanities. From there, I worked 5 years at a private middle school teaching Language Arts, Creative Writing, Journalism, and World Religions. In 2014, I began teaching at Mountain View High School, and taught Language Arts for 10 1/2 years. I also taught Speech and Debate for two years, so I have experience coaching students with public speaking.
I'm a mom of 3 kids and when I'm not reading a good book, I'm usually at a baseball game!

I can tutor in really any area of Language Arts from K-12th grade. For younger students I can work with them on how to read or with comprehension. For older students, I can help with grammar and writing, as well as reading comprehension strategies.
I have 13 years experience teaching high school Language Arts and 5 years with middle school. I also taught all my children how to read using a phonics-based curriculum, so I can assist with teaching younger students how to read.
