About Hoda

I’m a passionate and experienced Mathematics teacher with a Master’s degree in Mathematics from one of the top universities in Iran and more than 20 years of teaching experience.
I have taught students of different ages and levels, helping them build strong mathematical foundations, improve their confidence, succeed in entrance examinations, and achieve medals in international Mathematics and Computer Olympiads. During my university years, I also participated successfully in national Mathematics Student Olympiad competitions.
Since moving to Ontario, I have continued teaching Mathematics through private tutoring for students in Grades 3–12. I am familiar with the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum and can tailor my lessons to each student’s grade, goals, learning pace, and individual needs.
I also have experience supporting students who need concepts explained in different ways or at a different pace. I believe that every student can make progress when they receive the right explanation, encouragement, and support.
My teaching style is supportive, patient, and focused on understanding rather than memorization. I like to begin with simple questions to build confidence and then gradually introduce more challenging problems. I encourage students to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and develop their own problem-solving skills.
My goal is not only to help students get better grades, but also to help them understand mathematics, feel more confident, and enjoy learning.

About the lesson

Basic algebra and more advanced topics are taught in an integrated way. This includes solving quadratic equations, mathematical calculations, line equations, limits, derivatives, and other related topics. The teaching approach varies depending on the topic. For some topics, the teaching is done first followed by problem-solving, while for others, the new topic is taught by solving the problem. My teaching approach prioritizes student participation to ensure they fully understand the concepts being taught.
