About Lauren

My teaching method is quite adaptable and focused on the individual needs of every student. Some students might feel that they need a refresh on the content they have covered in school, especially after absences due to Covid. Others are comfortable with the content but struggle to apply it effectively in exam situations. For most students, it's a bit of both. As such, my lessons tend to involve a mixture of consolidating knowledge then putting it into action in questions, and honing your exam technique in the process! Here's what some of my previous students have said: "Lauren is great at targeting problem areas and simplifying topics that appear to be complicated. Lauren also has great exam and past paper questions- Thank you Lauren!" - Saara, A Level Physics "Lauren has been helping my daughter with GCSE Physics over the last year. My daughter says it was great to learn what Science was actually about rather than just ploughing through the mark schemes. Her most recent predicted grade for Physics was a 7 which is fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending Lauren." - Laura, parent of GCSE student "Lauren was very good at explaining how to answer different styles of questions so that I ensure that I can include all parts of the answer needed to reach the highest marks. I highly recommend her!" - Shannon, A Level Physics

Lauren is a passionate, skilled musician and an excellent tutor. She is creative, kind and patient. I have known and played music with Lauren for several years. Her dedicated and thorough approach to music make her a joy to work with. Having seen her teach, I can heartily recommend her as a tutor - especially since she is so good at adapting teaching to the different needs of individual students.
I have known Lauren for five years through university and musical commitments and could not recommend her more. She is a highly trained musician, good with children, encouraging and open.
