About Swarnayan
I’m Swarnayan, a Bansuri flutist and dedicated classical music educator with over 20 years of disciplined training in Hindustani classical music.
My musical foundation began with intensive vocal training in the Bishnupur Gharana, under Pt. Pranay Pathak (Grand-disciple of Acharya Jayanta Bose) which deeply shapes my approach to flute performance. I later trained under disciples of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia of the Maihar Gharana, specializing in the Gayaki Ang style — an expressive approach that brings vocal nuance and lyrical phrasing into Bansuri playing.
This rare combination of vocal and flute training allows students to experience Bansuri as a living, expressive art form rather than just a technical instrument.
I work with students across the UAE through structured and personalized online sessions.

He teaches with great patience and clarity, making even complex techniques feel approachable. His knowledge of both instruments and classical vocal music is impressive, and his passion for music really motivates you to keep improving. Thanks to him, I have grown so much as a musician. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn!
