About Maeve
I have ample experience as a tutor; I have been tutoring since the age of 16 at my school. I was thrilled to discover that all the students I tutored at my school excelled, at beat their predicted grade predictions in the subjects I taught. I also spent a summer tutoring children in Beijing in preparation for the GCSEs, Alevels and IELTS, both in small groups and on a one to one basis, with all students seeing a marked improvement, and impressively getting no lower than a grade B at GCSE and A level.
I have also been tutored in preparation for the 11+, and feel this experience has given me insight into the experience from a child's perspective, so I ensure my classes are always engaging, activity driven and interesting.

I give classes to children of all ages, for a variety of subjects, and therefore I do not adopt a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to tuition. Every student engages differently with each different subject, and therefore I believe it is essential to discover what works for them and how they enjoy learning.
I believe it is important for children to foster an interest in the subjects, and therefore can dedicate more time to any particular areas, approaches or ideas that they find particularly engaging and interesting.
