About Jerry

I'm a qualified physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Bachelor’s in Sport and Exercise Sciences. I have a strong academic background and years of experience in writing, editing, and presenting academic work at a postgraduate level. My tutoring focuses on helping university students improve the structure, clarity, and critical depth of their essays, dissertations, and research projects. I understand the pressures of academic deadlines and the confusion that often comes with interpreting briefs or developing arguments. I aim to make the process clearer and more manageable, step by step. You can expect a professional, structured approach tailored to your needs—whether you’re looking for help with planning, feedback on a draft, or support with referencing and academic style. My goal is to help you become more confident and independent in your academic work.

My approach to tutoring is clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on helping you understand your assignment brief, plan your structure, improve clarity in your writing, and meet academic standards without overcomplicating things. Teaching Methodology I break down academic tasks into manageable steps—whether that’s creating an outline for an essay, understanding how to build a critical argument, or navigating the dissertation process. I give direct feedback, practical examples, and methods you can use long after the session ends. Lesson Format & Length: Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the task. I also offer shorter check-in sessions for progress reviews, edits, or Q&A. Qualifications & Experience: I hold a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Bachelor’s in Sport and Exercise Sciences. I’ve written and submitted a dissertation using qualitative research and thematic analysis, and I have a strong grasp of research design, academic writing, and critical analysis. Who It’s For: University students (undergrad or postgrad) Anyone struggling with academic writing, structure, or research Students preparing coursework, literature reviews, or dissertations Whether you're stuck on where to start, overwhelmed by structure, or just want sharper writing, I can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
