About Merve
About Merve Tekin Merve Tekin is a bio-architect, educator, and co-founder of the architecture collective OBARUHU. A devoted caretaker of Mother Earth, her work is dedicated to creating energy-efficient, sustainable, and healing spaces—shaped by the limitless flexibility of earth and the power of collective creativity. Since 2011, her journey in bio-architecture has been deeply informed by the understanding that nature is the ultimate healer. She believes that spaces built with natural materials enhance the healing power of forms, elements, and human connection. Through her studies in Vaastu Shastra, she discovered that the wisdom she intuitively followed had existed for centuries, guiding harmonious relationships between body, space, and nature. Merve integrates this knowledge with traditional movement arts such as Yoga, Kalari, and Odissi, exploring the profound link between the human body and spatial design. Her approach to architecture is not just about shaping structures—it's about crafting environments that breathe, resonate, and support life. She believes that we are the creators of our own realities in this boundless universe. Let us come together and shape the world we envision—one space, one movement, one breath at a time.
