About Peyton
I am an undergraduate student studying molecular, cellular, and developmental biology with a minor in Spanish. I enjoy taking a wide range of classes, especially because I hope to work in family medicine one day, which is a relatively broad position. I have experience coaching kids in track and field, and helping kids younger than me with their schoolwork. I enjoy working with kids and overall want them to feel confident in what they're learning. In high school, I graduated with a 4.6 GPA and was in a range of extracurriculars, many of which gave me the opportunity to volunteer with kids.

Each kid has a different learning style, and I want to make sure I understand them on an individual level so they can get everything they need to out of this learning experience. With math, often kids have a hard time learning in class because they can't make connections to things they've learned in the past. I find that teaching math skills as if they're hearing about it for the first time ever gives kids the ability to fundamentally understand the things they are learning. I find that I work best with younger students, because I believe they like to be treated like they are just as smart as older kids.
