About Mele
My journey into yoga started with a challenging first class—where I felt overwhelmed and defeated. Many people share this initial experience, and I’m passionate about changing that perception. My goal is to bring yoga back to its roots of unity and connection, free from modern misconceptions.
Despite a rocky start, yoga became a lifeline during COVID-19, helping me recover from a snowboarding injury and navigate a lockdown in Victoria. This transformative period deepened my love for yoga and led me to complete a 200-hour Vinyasa Ashtanga Teacher Training in India.
Back in Australia, I began teaching and furthered my training with restorative yoga and neurodiversity-focused courses. I’m committed to continuous learning and growth, inspired by my students and fellow teachers. I invite you to join me on this journey and experience the true essence of yoga.

I’m Mele, a registered yoga teacher offering mindfulness practices on Gubbi Gubbi & Jinibarra Land (Sunshine Coast). Mindfully Moving’s intention is to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcomed and valued just as they are.
I offer a range of mindfulness practices designed to be adaptable and accessible, catering to the unique needs and abilities of individuals and groups. With a trauma-sensitive approach, my aim is to ensure that each practice supports and respects personal experiences and fosters a safe, supportive environment.
