About Nora
Hi! I'm Nora Moor, an incoming student at Carnegie Mellon University, intending to major in Computer Science and Engineering. I specialize in mathematics and computer science, and I’m here to help you reach your goals while developing the critical thinking skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
With experience as an 8th-grade math teaching assistant and a tutor for science, math, AP subjects, and SAT/ACT math, I focus on understanding each student's unique learning style. I tailor my approach to make complex topics more accessible, breaking them down step-by-step until they make sense.

My tutoring approach is personal, engaging, and tailored to how you learn best. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching, I take time to understand your thinking style and adjust my explanations to make complex ideas simple and intuitive. My focus is not just on getting the right answer, but on making sure you truly understand the “why” behind it.
Each session begins with a quick check-in to set goals. Then we dive into interactive learning, whether it's homework, test prep, or a tricky concept, we’ll work through it together in a clear, step-by-step way. I use visuals, real-life examples, and strategies that match your learning style. We will wrap up with a brief recap and the next steps to keep you progressing.
I appreciate getting materials ahead of time and a general idea of what you'd like to cover. My sessions are always judgment-free, flexible, and designed to build both your skills and your confidence. If you're ready to learn deeply and think critically, I’m here to help you get there.
