Hi! I’m Emily Castaneda, a passionate educator with over a decade of experience supporting young learners in their journey to become confident, skilled readers. My background spans classroom teaching (K–3), instructional coaching, intervention, and school administration. I’ve also served as an educational consultant at Vanderbilt University and currently work as an Early Literacy Content Lead at a national educational nonprofit.
My expertise lies in explicit literacy instruction, early literacy intervention, and the science of teaching reading, with a special focus on supporting students with reading disabilities. I offer 1:1 tutoring that is individualized to meet each child’s needs, supported by regular progress monitoring to ensure measurable growth.
