About Ashley
As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Longwood University, I have over 5 years of experience in teaching and tutoring elementary students. My primary subject is Reading, where I find immense joy in guiding students from their first encounters with letter sounds to confidently reading words. I believe that learning should be engaging and fun, so I find ways to tailor my lessons to connect with students' interests. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every child feels valued and excited to learn. I am dedicated to nurturing young minds and helping them achieve academic success.

My English tutoring sessions are active, engaging, and tailored to each learner. Students will read and sound out words, practice writing them, build sentences, and explore short stories together. I focus on making learning interactive—your child won’t just be listening, they’ll be participating every step of the way. Each lesson is designed to strengthen reading and writing skills through meaningful, hands-on practice.
